In order to put my entire opinion in here, I'd have to spend an at least an hour typing this, and frankly I'd rather not do that now. In essence, deviantArt's recent skirmishes with mature content filtering has left me frustrated and quite befuddled at how an art community could act like this. I will not have anyone tell me what I can and cannot look at, listen to, or say based on the ignorant assumption that age somehow determines maturity, and I somehow don't fit that bill. Especially when these rash actions have the potential to inhibit my learning as a student of art.

Haha. Fuck that.

Now there's news that it was just an experiment, and the new system enforced won't be as draconian. Regardless, I went ahead and made a duplicate account with a new birthdate of +2 years to prevent my being harmed by any future waves of asinine policy.
